Three teenagers have been left seriously injured, with a boy and girl in a critical condition in hospital, after being hit by an Audi near Loch Ness.
A 16-year-old boy was left with life-threatening injuries and is fighting for life at Raigmore hospital in Inverness after the incident involving the white Audi Q3 around 4.20pm on the A82 at Kirkton, near Lochend.
Medics also raced a 16-year-old girl to Raigmore with life threatening injuries after the crash and has since been transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The second girl was taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for six hours while cops carried out their investigations.
Road Policing Sergeant Angus Macleod urged anyone with information to come forward.
He said: "Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and it's important we establish exactly what happened. I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to police to come forward.
"I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage which could help with our investigation."
