Two teens were arrested just minutes after a man was carjacked at gunpoint in the West Elsdon neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
The boys, 16 and 17, are accused of carjacking a 21-year-old man around 12:20 a.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of South Ridgeway Avenue, Chicago police said.
They crashed the man’s car while fleeing and were arrested by officers after a brief foot chase, police said. Both were charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm.
The teens, who weren’t named because they’re charged as juveniles, were expected in court Thursday.
