Two teens arrested after man rushed to hospital with serious injuries in Glasgow

A man is in hospital with serious injuries and two teenagers have been arrested in Glasgow.

Police were called to Ingram Street yesterday, December 4, around 3.30pm after reports of a man allegedly being stabbed.

A 21-year-old man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

He remains in hospital today and his injuries have been described as serious.

Two 17-year-old males have now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

We previously told how the injured man entered a nearby restaurant badly hurt.

One witness, who was in the restaurant at the time, described how "there was blood everywhere".

They told Glasgow Live: "We were in one of the restaurants on the street when we noticed police were outside.

"We asked the waiter what had been happening and they said that a man came into the restaurant.

"There was blood everywhere.

"The guy was taken away in an ambulance. The manager had to give the police a statement."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a man being stabbed on Ingram Street around 3.30pm on Saturday 4 December 2021.

“A 21-year-old man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he remains with serious injuries.

“Two 17-year-old males have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and will appear in court at a later date.

“The investigation is continuing."
