Two teenagers stabbed and found lying in pools of blood in Leeds after brutal gang attack

Two teenagers were stabbed in Leeds last week during an attack by a group of men, police have revealed.

West Yorkshire Police received reports of the attack on Friday (23 April) shortly before 11pm in York Road.

Two men aged 18 and 19 were found with stab wounds at the junction of York Road and Back Victoria Grove at about 10.30pm.

Both of the victims were taken to the hospital for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

A scene was put in place to undergo forensic examination and detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident.

The force is now appealing for more information into the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said: "While enquiries to establish the circumstances remain at an early stage, there is nothing at this point to suggest a link to any other previous incidents."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Leeds District CID via 101 quoting crime reference 13210201232 or online.

Information can also be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
