Two teenagers rushed to hospital with serious injuries after crash in Scottish Borders

Two teenagers are in hospital with serious injuries after a horror crash in the Scottish Borders.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the blue Volskwagen Polo was involved in the incident around 7.40pm last night on the A7 north of the Synton junction, near Ashkirk.

The driver and passenger, both 17-year-old males, are in hospital with serious injuries following the horror crash.

Cops are now calling on anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash to come forward and help with enquires.

Sergeant Mark Banner, from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash to please come forward, whether you saw anything or may have potential dashcam footage which could assist our investigation.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting incident 2969 of 4 January."
