Two teenagers charged in connection with attempted murder of Scots schoolboy

Two teenagers have been charged in connection with the attempted murder of a schoolboy.

A 15-year-old is in critical conditions after being discovered seriously injured Around 11.10pm near Thornliebank Station in Glasgow on Friday.

Police raced to the scene on Boydstone Road after the alarm was raised.

The boy was then rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Now two males, aged 15 and 16 have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Two males, aged 15 and 16 have been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder.

"Around 11.10pm on Friday 26 February 2021, police received a report of a disturbance in Boydstone Road.

"Officers attended and found a 15-year-old male injured. Both males are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 1 March, 2021.

"A report is being submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
