Two teenagers have been charged by police after a series of fires were started at a Fife beauty spot.
Emergency services were called to the Lochore Meadows Country Park, near Lochgelly, on several occasions between April 7 and 24.
Multiple blazes were also started on the nearby Benarty Hill which caused extensive damage to the woodland and gorse.
Police Scotland have now confirmed that two 13-year-old’s have been charged in connection.
A force spokesperson said: “Two 13-year-olds have been charged with the series of fireraisings which occurred at Lochore Meadows and the surrounding area between 7th and 24th April.
“The fire threatened wildlife, public safety and unnecessarily used the Scottish Fire and Rescue Services’ time and resources.”
