Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of killing 14-year-old in suspected firearms incident

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after a 14-year-old boy was killed in an incident police believe involved a firearm.

Suffolk Police were called to an address in Thurston, near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, at 1.35pm on Sunday by paramedics who were treating a boy with life-threatening injuries.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital in a critical condition but died a short while later.

Police are investigating how the incident occurred involving the firearm.

A spokesman for Suffolk Constabulary said: "At this early stage, police believe there was a discharge of a firearm and are investigating the circumstances around the incident.

"Police have arrested two teenage boys on suspicion of manslaughter, and they have been taken to Bury police investigation centre for questioning."
