Two teenagers allegedly threatened with crowbar and have scooters stolen during frightening North Dublin robbery

Two teenagers were allegedly threatened with a crowbar and had their electric scooters stolen during a frightening robbery in north Dublin last night.

The two boys were approached by a man in the Foxhill Park area of Coolock at 8.10pm yesterday.

The man then allegedly threatened the 18-year-old and 14-year-old with a crowbar before stealing the two scooters.

Thankfully the two young lads were left physically unharmed by the scary incident.

The scooters were then later found in an abandoned vehicle about a five minute drive away on Edenmore Green.

The alleged attacker is still at large and Gardai say they will carry out a technical exam on the abandoned vehicle.

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery incident that occurred in the Foxhill Park area of Coolock on 06/02/2021 at approximately 8:10pm.

"It is reported that two males, aged 18 and 14 years, were approached by another male, allegedly armed with a crowbar.

"Two bikes were then taken from the males. No injuries were reported.

"The bikes were then later recovered from an unoccupied vehicle in the Edenmore Green area by Gardaí.

"A technical examination of the vehicle will be carried out. Investigations are ongoing."
