Two teenage girls arrested after woman left with 'life-changing' injuries in Bexley double stabbing

Two teenage girls have been arrested after a woman and a teenager were seriously injured in a double stabbing in south London.

Officers rushed to a quiet cul-de-sac in Erith, Bexley to reports that two people had been attacked at 3pm on Sunday.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service treated two women — aged 18 and 47 — at The Nursery near Northend Road before being rushed to hospital.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the older victim was knifed in the abdomen, leaving her with “life-changing” injuries.

The condition of the teenager is unknown at this stage.

Scotland Yard announced they have arrested two girls, both 16, on suspicion of attempted murder.

One of the suspects was also arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs and robbery. They remain in custody.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Met on 101, quoting crime reference 4512/06JUL. Alternatively, an anonymous report can be filed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
