Two teenage boys seriously injured after being struck by bus in Co Donegal

Two teenagers have been hit by a bus in Co Donegal.

The youngsters, both male, were involved in the collision around 4:50pm on Tuesday on the Mountcharles to Inver Road.

Both have been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision between a bus and two teenage males that occurred at approximately 4:50pm on the Mountcharles to Inver road, just outside Mountcharles village.

"Both boys have been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

"The road is currently closed for a technical examination. Local diversions are in place. Investigations are ongoing."
