Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 13, assaulted and robbed on Clydebank street

Two teenage boys have been robbed on a Clydebank street.

The victims, aged 15 and 13, were approached by a man at around 10pm yesterday (Friday, February 14) between Longden Street and Low Crescent in Whitecrook.

He assaulted them and stole their mobile phone and other personal belongings.

Police Scotland are now appealing for information following the incident.

The suspect is described as around 6ft tall, sallow skin, dark hair, wearing baggy trousers.

Detective Constable Robert Struthers, of Clydebank CID, said: “This was an unprovoked attack on two young boys. I am appealing to anyone in the local community who may have information which will assist our investigation.

"I particularly want to speak to a man and woman who were out walking their dog in this area. I believe they may have witnessed the incident so I'm appealing for them to contact us.

"Equally if anyone has any information about this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 4041 of 14 February or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
