'Two teams going in opposite directions' Leeds United fans look ahead to Derby County clash

Leeds United will return to Elland Road this weekend for the first time since their narrow 1-0 defeat to Swansea City prior to the international break for a highly anticipated clash with Derby County.

United made a return to winning ways last weekend with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Barnsley at Oakwell, ensuring they moved back to the top of the Championship table, edging just ahead of Swansea on goal-difference.

But whilst Marcelo Bielsa's troops will be favourites to get three points on the board, the meeting with Derby is going to be about much more than just the points on offer. Not only will the Whites be chomping at the bit to inflict revenge on the Rams for last season's Championship play-off semi-final defeat, which saw Derby produce a remarkable comeback from 2-0 down, the contest will no doubt be highly competitive because of last season's 'spygate' scandal.

With Leeds eager for revenge and the fans still having a sense of amusement over the 'spygate' case, which saw Bielsa send a spy to Derby's training ground ahead of their February meeting at Elland Road, there is a lot more interest and excitement in the build-up to this game in comparison to a usual Championship fixture.

Here is what some of the Leeds fans are saying on Twitter about the match ahead of Saturday...
