MANGAPET (MULUGU): In a bizarre incident, two government teachers allegedly having an illicit relationship were caught "red-handed" on Monday night by the woman teacher's husband, working as an AR constable.
The villagers tied the hands of both the teachers and paraded them across the mandal headquarters.
According to the female teacher's husband Sambaiah, his wife works as a Biological Science teacher in Zilla Parishad High School(ZPHS) in Mangapet Mandal of Mulugu district in Telangana.
K Nagender works as a Physical Science teacher in the same school.
The two government teachers have been in a relationship for the last two years.
Knowing about their illegal relationship, the woman teacher's husband rushed to the school and complained to the head mistress in December last year.
The head mistress cautioned both the teachers and in January, the woman was transferred to Kothaguda on deputation.
Meanwhile, Nagender continued his relationship with her.
Eturnagaram assistant superintendent of police (ASP) Sirisetti Sankeerth stated that the counselling of the duo was being done.
