Two taken to hospital after buses crash on icy Castlemilk road

Two people have been taken to hospital after two buses crashed in Castlemilk.

It is believed the two buses collided on an icy spot at the top of a hill on Ardencraig Road around 7pm on Sunday.

It comes as a yellow weather warning for snow and and ice was in place throughout the day and into Monday morning.

Drivers are being urged to take extra precautions to stay safe as temperatures continue to fall.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "We received report of a road traffic crash, involving two buses, on Ardencraig Road in Glasgow around 7pm on Sunday, December 27, 2020.

"Emergency services attended and a man and a woman were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with minor injuries.”
