Police have arrested two suspects following reports that a man was attacked with an iron bar during a disturbance in Stockport town centre.
The alleged attack took place at a property on Bosden Fold at 11am on Monday.
Police were called to reports a man was being attacked with an iron bar and later arrested two men.
The suspects, aged 22 and 50, were held on suspicion of assault and interviewed before being 'released under investigation'.
There are no reports anyone was hurt during the incident.
Witnesses reported police and forensics experts were focusing on one property in Bosden Fold.
Today (Tuesday) police issued a public appeal for anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called to Bosden Fold, Stockport, shortly after 11am on Monday 14 June to reports of a man being assaulted with an iron bar.
"One male, aged 50, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and assault.
"A second male, aged 22, was located a short time later and arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Both men have been interviewed and released under investigation.
"The investigation is ongoing to identify the man who was assaulted and obtain any relevant CCTV."
