Two stolen French bulldog puppies have been returned to their mum - but one is still missing

Two French bulldog puppies who were stolen from a house in Trafford have been reunited with their mum, but one is still missing.

The dogs, who are just seven weeks old, were taken overnight from an address in Timperley on Sunday, police said.

A Facebook appeal to find the stolen puppies received thousands of shares across the region, after the family said the pups' mother was 'pining for them.'

On Tuesday, the family posted an update to say that one of the puppies had been found and reunited with their mum.

GMP Trafford say a man has since attended a local police station, and is being quizzed by officers over the thefts.

In a post the family said: "First puppy is back home safe and sound with mamma dog.

"We are so relieved and Tallulah is alive again.

"As soon as she her he snuggled straight into her and began feeding.

"He's lost a little weight but gladly some good person came forward.

"It has been confirmed without a doubt we are looking for the right people, please keep sharing."

It is believed the puppies had been sold on but after seeing the Facebook appeal, the buyers contacted police.

Later on Tuesday, the family posted another update to say that a second puppy had been returned home.

They believe the third puppy may have been bought in Burnage and could now be in Blackpool.

In a post on Monday morning local police said: "Overnight, three French bulldog puppies, who are seven-weeks-old, have been stolen from an address in Timperley.

"As you can imagine, the family are very upset and the pups' mother is pining for her puppies."

Anyone with information is asked to ring police on 101, quoting log 386 of 020320.
