'Two standout candidates' - Nottingham Forest fans decide on player of the decade

A new year is almost upon us, and with 2020 comes a new decade, too.

For Nottingham Forest, it has been a year of improvements with Sabri Lamouchi coming in and turning the Reds into genuine playoff contenders.

But as the new decade begins, another one comes to an end, and that has put a lot of fans into reflection mode.

fans are no different, and with 2020 just hours away, supporters have been discussing the stand-out players from the last decade.

There have been plenty to choose from with a sizable turnover at the City Ground.

But which players do Forest fans feel stood out as the best from 2010 right up until the end of 2019?

We took a look at the Forest Forum to find out.

Tobias - "Paul McKenna. He was absolutely hypnotic at times."

Siforest65 - "Was thinking either Lansbury or Ince before plumping for Cohen."

Valspoodle - "Reidy. The only time you feel that there is someone actually thinking in the midfield, as opposed to going through the motions."

Mase - "2 standout candidates, Reid or Antonio. Put me down for Andy Reid."

Congo_Red - "Antonio for me. The number of players needed to gang up on him just to try to win the ball was something else."

Ravi - "Brice Samba."

Farmer Jack - "Joao Texeira."

Taylor_82 - "I loved Earnie!"

Raymondo Ponte - "In the murky despairing doom n gloom, Paul McKenna tekka small bow son."

Liaminho - "Antonio. It's not even close for me."

Ashley - "Michail Antonio by an absolute mile."

RealRed85 - "It’s obviously Antonio. What gives it away is how quickly he moved upwards away from the interminable stench of mediocrity that has been the last ten years."
