At least two army personnel loyal to military commander Khalifa Haftar were killed Tuesday in a car-bomb attack in eastern Libya.
An officer in the Libyan National Army, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that a booby-trapped vehicle headed towards Bawabat al Siteen in the south of Ajdabiya and targeted it, killing two soldiers from the battalion 152.
Bawabat al Siteen is located 69 kilometres south of Ajdabiya.
In another context, armed men attacked Awjila gate and kidnapped one soldier – the gate was damaged completely and one soldier survived.
Awjila gate is located at the north of Awjila and 200 kilometers away from Ajdabiya.
The two offensives occurred early and no party claimed responsibility. However some said that they hold the imprints of ISIS.
In March, ISIS claimed responsibility over two attacks on the Libyan National Army in Ajdabiya that led to the death of two, and eight relatively.
The extremists also claimed responsibility of a suicidal attack in the beginning of May in Tripoli.
ISIS benefited from the chaos in Libya to lay hand over Sirte (north) in June 2015 but pro-National Accord government forces regained control over the city in December.
