Two sisters open West Lothian's first ever Greek takeaway and promise "fresh and healthy" food

Two sisters have opened West Lothian’s first ever Greek takeaway.

Owners Monika and Karolina recently moved to Scotland but had been missing home so they decided to open their own business and bring some Greek vibes to West Lothian.

The siblings grew up in Greece and say it has been a long held ambition to bring the recipes of their childhood to Scotland.

They say that the Opa Opa takeaway at Main Street in Deans, Livingston, will source ingredients exclusively from Greek suppliers and will use only authentic recipes.

Opa Opa aims to offer locals in Deans fresh and healthy takeaway food and is open Monday to Sunday from 3pm to 10pm.

The takeaway officially opened on Friday and the proprietors say it was a busy weekend.

Speaking to the Courier Monika Zybura-Cilingiri was delighted with the opening few days.

She said: “The locals were pleased. On the opening day it was very busy, people were very pleased and we had good reviews.”

She continued: “Our healthy and fresh cuisine is made out of ingredients that come directly from Greek suppliers, which will ensure having genuine Greek recipes with identical taste and smell.”
