An elderly woman and a man were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Wythenshawe.
The smash happened during rush-hour at around 5.40pm yesterday (Wednesday) on Hollyhedge Road.
A Fiat Panda and a Keeway K-Light motorbike collided with each other, police said.
The bike then hit a Skoda Octavia.
A woman, aged 74, was taken to hospital from the scene with 'potentially life-changing injuries'.
A man, aged 39, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries - though his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing and police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
Police Sergeant Andrew Page of GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "This was a nasty collision that has left two people in hospital with serious injuries.
"Our thoughts are with them as they both receive urgent medical attention.
"This collision occurred during rush-hour so we're confident there are people who may have witnessed it or seen the vehicles in the area beforehand.
"If you were a witness or have information that could assist our investigation please get in touch with police as soon as possible."
