Two Scots islands are looking for a whisky-loving minister to meet their spiritual needs.
Islay and Jura have pitched their famous drams to lure a Church of Scotland candidate.
Their parish profile proclaims the two islands have 10 distilleries between them, with nine on Islay.
It says: “We are looking for a compassionate and committed minister to lead the parishes of Islay and Jura. Between the islands, there are 10 distilleries, with more planned.
“They provide employment for many in the production of the whisky – for which they are famous – and in visitor centres.”
The minister will be asked to “engage with all ages, lead us in the ‘new normal’ and open our minds to the challenges that are ahead of us in the modern world”.
It adds: “Applications for the current vacancy are welcome from, among others, individuals who are in a civil partnership or same-sex marriage.”
