Two Scots arrested as woman dies after being taken home by driver involved in crash

Two Scots have been arrested in connection with a fatal crash in England.

A woman in her 60s was hit by a car while crossing the Bramley Road in the Hester’s Way area of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, around 12pm on Friday June 2.

The driver of the white BMW 1 series drove the woman, who suffered leg and foot injuries, home before her relatives rushed her to Cheltenham General Hospital.

After being discharged, her condition deteriorated and she later passed away on Sunday.

A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, both from Scotland, have since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

Officers have since appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
