A driver left two 11-year-old schoolgirls lying in the road after crashing into them.

Cheshire Police rushed to Shaw Street in Warrington at 3.10pm on September 9, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found two 11-year-old schoolgirls who were hit by a car.

The driver of the vehicle fled the area after the impact of the crash caused the girls to fall onto the floor. Police called the North West Ambulance Service who treated the girls for minor scratches and bruising.
