Two Ryanair flights from London diverted to Dublin Airport due to Storm Atiyah

Two Ryanair flights from London have been forced to divert to Dublin Airport due to the high winds from Storm Atiyah.

Both flights were due to land at Shannon Airport but due to the poor weather conditions on the west coast.

Flight FR109 took off from Stansted Airport at 7:15pm and was due to land at 8:45pm.

But the flight was forced to turn back and is expected to land shortly in Dublin.

Flight FR1183 left Gatwick at 8:10pm and was due in Shannon at 9:40pm.

According to flightradar24.com, the plane was flying over Kilkenny when it was diverted back to Dublin.

The storm has been causing havoc in Munster with thousands of homes left without power.

A massive fault in Kenmare, Co Kerry has left 10,000 premises without power, while the ESB’s powercheck service shows further outages across Cork, Clare, Limerick, Donegal, Sligo and other parts of Kerry.

ESB Networks say it is currently working to restore electricity to affected areas.
