Two rushed to hospital after taxi and lorry crash on M8 in Glasgow

Two people have been rushed to hospital after a taxi and lorry crashed on the M8 in Glasgow.

Cops were called to the eastbound carriageway at junction 17, near Craighall Road, shortly after 1am on Saturday.

Two people were rushed to hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

They were both later released.

Two lanes were shut as the lorry and taxi were towed.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said :   "Police received a report of a road traffic crash on the M8 Eastbound at junction 17 around 1.10am on Saturday, 13 June, 2020.

"A taxi and a HGV were involved in a collision.

"Two occupants were taken to hospital and later released.

"Two lanes were closed for around an hour while uplift of the vehicles was arranged."
