Two rushed to hospital after mystery overnight crash as gardai look for answers

Two people have been hospitalised after a crash in Co Tipperary in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Officers from Cahir responded to the collision shortly before 7am on the Clonmel Road.

Gardai are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward or anyone who may have been travelling on the road at the time.

A garda spokesperson said: "Cahir Gardai responded to a road traffic collision before 7am this morning at Ballyhennebry (Clonmel Road) Cahir. As a result two persons were taken to Tipperary University Hospital for injuries sustained. Gardai are urging any motorist who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

"We are particularly keen to speak with any motorist who travelled the N24 Clonmel to Cahir or any motorist who may have dash cam footage to contact Gardai at Cahir Garda Station on 052 7445630."
