Two rushed to hospital after horror crash sparks huge emergency response on Scots street


Two people have been rushed to hospital following a horror crash on a Fife road this morning.

Police have sealed off the area near the roundabout on St Clair Street in Kirkcaldy after the accident, which happened at around 5.45am on Friday December 31.

A man and a woman were rushed to hospital by ambulance, but their condition is not yet known.

Footage taken from the scene shows the huge emergency operation following the crash, with ambulance, police and fire crews seen in attendance with flashing lights.

In another picture taken later in the morning officers can be seen to have closed off the road.

Two vehicles are parked on the sealed off road and cops remain in attendance.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.45am on Friday, December 31, officers were called to a report of a road crash involving one car at a roundabout on St Clair Street, Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended. A man and a woman were taken to hospital by ambulance. Officers are currently at the scene and the road is closed."
