Two rushed to hospital after car flips over as emergency services race to horror Glasgow crash

Emergency services have raced to a horror car crash in Glasgow this evening.

Police and medical crews scrambled to Edinburgh Road in the east end of the city after a one vehicle crash which left the car flipped on its roof.

Officers were called to the incident, at the junction with Crowlin Crescent, after the accident at around 5.55pm.

Three men were injured, two of which were rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to their injuries. The other man is still at the scene.

The driver has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Glasgow are currently dealing with a one vehicle crash on Edinburgh Road.

"Officers were called to the incident, at the junction with Crowlin Crescent, around 5.55pm on Saturday 27 February 2021.

"Three men were injured, two have been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to their injuries, the other man is still at the scene. The driver has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.

"Enquiries are continuing and local road closures are in place."
