There will be two roads closed in both Wishaw and Shotts at the start of 2020.
A73 Carlisle Road will be closed overnight from B7029 Bellside Road to Fernieshaw Road from January 6 to January 10 2020, overnight only (10pm to 6am).
T his is due to essential Network Rail bridge works.
Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access the north side of the closure should proceed via Bellside Road, Main Street, Omoa Road, Chapelknowe Road, Newarthill Road, Carfin Road, High Street, Motherwell Road and south-eastwards on A73 Carlisle Road to the north side of the closure.
Vehicles on the north side wishing to access the south side should proceed in vice-versa.
Shotts Main Street, B7010, will also be closed for four days between January 7 and January 11, between Torbothie Road and Springhill Road.
This is due to carriage way works.
Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access the north side of the closure should proceed Via Stane Road, Burnbrae Road and Main Stree.
Vehicles on the north side wishing to access the south side should proceed in vice-versa.
