Hague explosion: Three rescued from building rubble after blast in Dutch city and one more feared trapped

Three people have been pulled from the rubble of a three-storey building in the Hague following an explosion while one other is feared to be trapped in the wreckage.

Rescue workers are searching the scene in the Dutch city after the suspected gas blast blasted the front off the structure and injured nine people.

Emergency services said seven had been taken to hospital and there conditions were unclear.

The collapse also damaged nearby homes while debris covering part of the street and parked vehicles complicated the search.

It is unknown how many people are missing following the incident

As darkness fell, fire engine lights shined on exposed rooms.

A sofa, table and chairs still could be seen on the third floor.

Sniffer dogs were brought in to aid the search as rescue teams worked carefully due to fears the building's extensive structural damage might make more sections collapse.
