Residents of Bo'ness - a town around half an hour from Edinburgh near Linlithgow - were left puzzled on Saturday morning (4 May) when they discovered a car balanced precariously on its side on Dean Road.
The vehicle was first discovered by early risers, and it's thought that it was flipped at around 6.30am on Saturday.
Police stated that the driver and passenger fled the scene and went into hiding in the woodland surrounding the Kinniel Estate, however police dog Chase tracked and traced both in the grounds, and they were subsequently arrested.

People expressed shock at seeing the car on its side. One local resident took to Facebook to warn other motorists, saying:
"Road accident just has you come into Bo’ness has you drive through the new road layout there are police and a car on its side, it was reported on another post that someone ran away.
"I’ve just driven past and there is a police dog handler and police vans and another car with officers speaking with driver you can get past with care.."
