PATTANI: Two volunteer rangers were killed at a market in Yaring district in this southernmost province on Friday night.

Police were reported at 6pm that four gunmen on two motorcycles had shot them dead at Ban Tanyong Dalor market.

Waraphan Khuntong, 22, of Pak Phanang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, died on the spot. Athorn Thuajob, 23, of Nong Chik district, Pattani province, died on the way to Pattani Hospital.
