Two Range Rovers destroyed in deliberate fire-raising in Coatbridge

Two Range Rover cars have been destroyed in a deliberate fire outside a home in Coatbridge.

Police are appealing for witnesses after one of the vehicles was set alight, causing damage to the other, whilst parked in a driveway outside a property in Luggieburn Walk.

The incident happened at around 12.45am on Monday (December 6).

Officers say the black Range Rover was set alight, which in turn spread to the white vehicle and a nearby garage area.

No-one was injured as a result of the fire and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended to extinguish the flames.

Officers have conducted door-to-door and local CCTV enquiries, and are asking anyone with information relating to the incident, or who could have additional footage to come forward and assist police enquiries.

A spokesman for the force told Lanarkshire Live : "Our enquiries have established that a black vehicle attended within the estate area with its headlights off around the time of the incident. If you have any information on this vehicle, please get in touch with officers.

"Those with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 0089."

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
