Two Qld women arrested for vaccine fraud

Two women have been arrested north of Brisbane after one of them allegedly paid the other to receive a COVID-19 vaccination on her behalf.

The women, aged 20 and 28, have each been charged by Queensland Police's specialist COVID-19 response team Taskforce Sierra Linnet with one count each of attempted fraud and fraud.

Police allege the 28-year-old North Lakes woman paid cash for the 20 year old to receive the jab on her behalf at Kippa-Ring on December 10.

The duo will appear in a Redcliffe court on January 4.
