Two popular snack products sold in Tesco stores across Ireland urgently recalled

Two popular snack products sold in Tesco stores across Ireland have been urgently recalled due to the potential presence of "metal pieces".

Officials have issued a recall notice for one batch each of Danone Activia Vanilla 0% Fat, No Added Sugar Yoghurt and Danone Light and Free Peach Passion Fruit Greek Style Yoghurt.

The Danone Activia Vanilla 0% Fat yoghurts affected by the recall are the 4x120g batches with a best before date of 02/04/2021.

While the Free Peach Passion Fruit Greek Style yoghurts that are subject to the notice are the 4x115g products with a use-by date of 31/03/2021.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued the recall notice on Sunday.

A spokesman said: "The potential presence of metal makes this product unsafe to eat.

"Do not eat any of the affected batches."

Manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, caterers & retailers are asked to remove from sale any of the affected batches.
