Two popular Dublin nightclubs to stay shut due to 'lack of clarity'

Two popular Dublin nightclubs will not open this weekend despite the Covid-19 guidelines allowing them to do so for the first time in almost two years.

Krystle and Dicey's will not open for the entire bank holiday weekend because of the "lack of clarity" from Government on how they can operate.

In a statement on social media, Krystle which is in the same buildings as Dicey's apologised to punters.

It read: "Unfortunately due lack of clarity and time to prepare safely we will not be opening this weekend. We are really disappointed it has come to this and apologise to everyone who was expecting to come dance with us tonight."

"When we are back we want to be back properly and make sure it’s a safe and full experience. We can’t wait to have you back."

Fans of the nightclub took to the comment section of the post to share their condolences with the nightclub.

One user wrote: "Good things come to those who wait. Can’t wait to be back."

Another wrote: "I'm sure the reopening weekend will be bigger n better!"

A third wrote: "It was an impossible ask with 24 hours’ notice! The excitement will have more time to brew and the wait will be beyond worth it."

Dublin Live has contacted Dicey's for a comment.
