Two police officers taken to hospital after crash on busy Nottingham road

Two police officers were taken to hospital after a crash involving another car on a busy Nottingham road.

Emergency services, including firefighters, responded to the crash which happened just before 10pm on Tuesday, February 5 on Alfreton Road outside the Falcon Inn pub.

A white Volkswagen was the other car involved in the crash.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 10pm on Tuesday February 5 to a report of a collision between a police car and another car on Alfreton Road.

"Two officers were taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre with minor injuries. The driver of the other car was not injured."

The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated, police added.
