Two police officers injured during Glasgow van chase as driver arrested

The driver of a white van dramatically rammed during a police chase through Glasgow has been arrested.

Officers were trying to trace the vehicle before they found it in the Harmony Row area of Govan around 10.10am today.

But it failed to stop for police, leading to a pursuit towards the city centre.

At least six Police Scotland cars then "boxed" the vehicle on Pacific Drive close to the Village Hotel before arresting the driver.

Images show one cop car rammed into the van, which appears to have crashed into a metal barrie,r while another was damaged in the chase.

Two officers were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The reason police were trying to trace the van is unknown at this time.
