Two police officers injured after unmarked car involved in collision in Glasgow's west end

Two police officers have sustained minor injuries after an unmarked police car they were travelling in was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the west end of Glasgow this evening.

The incident occurred on Great Western Road in the Kelvinbridge area of the city around 5:25pm, leading to traffic disruption in the area on what is a busy road for commuters.

The two police officers did not require hospital treatment while the driver of the other vehicle, an Audi car, did not sustain injuries.

Police have confirmed that a 38-year-old man has been arrested with road traffic offences.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "About 5.25pm an unmarked police vehicle was involved with a collision with an Audi car on Great Western Road. The two police officers sustained minor injuries. The driver of the Audi car did not sustain any injuries.

"A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences."
