Two police officers injured after unmarked car crashes into vehicle in Glasgow's west end

Two officers have been injured after a car crash in Glasgow 's west end.

The cops had been driving an unmarked police car on Great Western Road at 5:25pm on Wednesday night.

Their vehicle was involved in a collision with an Audi in the Kelvinbridge area of the city.

Both officers were left with minor injuries.

The Audi driver did not sustain injuries.

A 34-year-old man was arrested with road traffic offences.

The incident sparked traffic disruption as the busy road was sealed off.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "About 5.25pm an unmarked police vehicle was involved with a collision with an Audi car on Great Western Road.

"The two police officers sustained minor injuries.

"The driver of the Audi car did not sustain any injuries.

"A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences."
