Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps returning to TV with a twist

It is a comedy series that many people loved watching in the Noughties and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is coming back to our screens.

Yes, if you loved nothing better than settling down on the sofa, possibly with a Pot Noodle, to watch the antics of Gaz, Donna, Janet, Jonny and Louise when the show became a huge hit for BBC Three and then BBC2 after its debut nearly TWENTY years ago, you will be thrilled to learn that two of its stars have got a comeback firmly in the works.

The big reveal was made by Gaz, aka Will Mellor, in a video he recorded in his car. In it, he said "I'm just on my way to start shooting a new project with Ralf Little.

"It's set in a pub, me and Ralf having a couple of pints, like Gaz and Jonny, talking about all sorts from the old days to any kind of pub banter.

""Putting the world to rights in our own way, playing a few silly games. You're going to be seeing it soon.

"Hopefully we're going to be having guests on, music, all sorts of stuff but today's the first day."

Two Pints of Lager developed quite a cult following in its hey-day, with many of its fans particularly fond of the musical episode which featured songs like Stop Thinking, Start Drinking and pastiches of Breathe by Sean Paul and Moulin Rouge smash Lady Marmalade.

The show, which also starred Sheridan Smith, Natalie Casey and Beverley Callard, ended with its ninth series in 2011.
