Unless you're looking for a career in hospitality, the pub isn't usually the best place to find a new job.
But a new pop-up pub opening in Manchester will have career advice and employment opportunities on tap alongside the beer.
The Linked Inn will take over Atlas Bar on Deansgate today and tomorrow, where punters will be able to meet companies on the lookout for talent.
Organised by professional network LinkedIn, the pub will serve up live job vacancies from the likes of Heineken, H&M and Auto Trader.
Job hunters will have the chance to meet with hiring managers to find out more about the roles and land themselves an on-the-spot informal interview.
LinkedIn experts will also be on hand to give career advice, from how to boost your profile and grow your network to how to barter for a better salary, and there'll also be a professional portrait photographer helping people to perfect their LinkedIn profile picture.
The two-day pop-up follows The Linked Inn's London run earlier this year.
Darain Faraz, careers expert for the network, said: “After the overwhelming success of The Linked Inn in London, it’s hugely exciting to be able to open the pub’s doors in Manchester.
"We want to show that by engaging with your professional network in the same way you would your social network, whether that’s in a pub or online, you can get closer to the job you want. Whoever said the job seeking process had to be a gruelling one?”
The Linked Inn is open on Tuesday June 4 and Wednesday June 5, from 5pm to 9pm. Guests must be over 18 and have a LinkedIn profile. Entry is free, to sign up visit Eventbrite .
