Two people tragically died after separate crashes in Co Cork this afternoon.
A man in his 30s passed away after a collision in Mallow at around 4pm.
Emergency services and gardai rushed to the scene of the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a van.
The motorcyclist, a man in his late 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem, Cork Beo reports.
The driver of the van, a man in his 50s was treated for shock at the scene.
The local road between Dromahane and Glantane road is still closed this evening as a forensic examination takes place but local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information, particularly any road users who may have witnessed the collision or have dash-cam footage, to contact them at Mallow Garda Station on 022 31450, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
Elsewhere, a woman in her 60s died after a collision between a car and a truck this afternoon.
The crash happened near Baxters Bridge on the Bandon to Balineen Road at around 1pm today.
The road is still closed as a forensic examination is carried out but local diversions are once again in place.
The collision happened at the turn off for Bandon Golf Club near Baxters Bridge.
A man, understood to be aged in his 60s, the driver of the car, has been taken to Cork University Hospital where his condition as described as serious.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
