Dublin Fire Brigade has said that two people were taken to hospital following a two car collision in South Dublin this morning.
Gardai and two fire engines were sent to the scene in Tallaght just before 6am on Good Friday.
The collision on the Belgard Road took place close to a Luas line and their control team facilitated Dublin Fire Brigade by de-energising the overhead lines while recovery was underway.

Two ambulances - one from the HSE and one from Dublin Fire Brigade - attended the scene also.



A spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade told Dublin Live that "the patients are in a stable condition following the collision

Dublin Fire Brigade said on Twitter: "This morning we attended a 2 car collision with Tallaght ambulance on the Belgard Road.
They added: "Luas not involved but tracks were temporarily blocked whilst recovery was underway
In a statement to Dublin Live, gardai said they "are investigating a two car collision that occurred on the Belgarde Road, Tallaght, on 19/4/19 at approximately 5:30am".
"A driver of one of the cars, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"Investigations are ongoing."
