Two people taken to hospital after crash on the A46 near Bingham

Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash at a busy roundabout on the A46 in Nottinghamshire.

Paramedics were called to the Saxondale Roundabout, between Bingham and Radcliffe-on-Trent, at 11.58am on Thursday (June 17).

A spokeswoman for East Midlands Ambulance Service said the caller reported that there'd been a road traffic collision between a van and a car.

She added: "We sent two crewed ambulances and two patients were taken to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.”

The ambulances and a police car were spotted at the scene, as this picture taken by a reader shows.
