Two people taken to hospital after crash involving car and lorry in village

Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash involving a car and a lorry on the outskirts of a Nottinghamshire village.

The incident happened on the A612, Nottingham Road, in Bulcote just after 9am on Thursday, January 9.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said two people were taken to hospital by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for the service said: "Crews from London Road Station have this morning attended a road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry on Nottingham Road, Bulcote.

"Two casualties have been conveyed to hospital by our colleagues at EMAS NHS Trust."

Nottinghamshire Police said they believe the two people received minor injuries from the incident.

Some bus services have also suffered delays due to the incident.

Nottingham City Transport added: "An RTC on the A612 at Bulcote is causing delays to Pathfinder 26 this morning."
