Two people taken to hospital after car crashes into house

Two people have been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a house in Blackley.

Emergency services were called to Middleton Road on Tuesday night to reports of a crash between two vehicles.

One of the cars had crashed into a house.

Two people were taken to hospital for precautionary checks following the crash.

Their injuries are not thought to be serious.

A section of Middleton Road near the junction of Blackley New Road was cordoned off by police on Tuesday night.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire Service said: "We were called at 10.35pm last night to Middleton Road to reports of a road traffic collision between two vehicles.

"One vehicle had struck a house.

"Nobody was trapped and there was no fire. Two people self-rescued and were taken to hospital.

"There was no further action required from the fire service.
