Two were taken to hospital yesterday (June 8) following a fight at a tram stop.
Video shared on social media taken from a stationary tram showed a group fighting with weapons on a public path connected to the Cemetery Road tram stop on Manchester Road, Droylsden. Another video, shared with the Manchester Evening News, again taken from inside the tram, showed a male on the tracks in front of the tram surrounded by four others and being hit by weapons before all leave the tracks.
Police say an investigation has been launched into the incident but no arrests have been made at this stage. They also confirmed that two men were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening leg injuries.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 4.25pm yesterday (Thursday 8 June 2023), officers were called to a disturbance on Cemetery Road, Droylsden. Two men were taken to hospital with injuries to their legs which are believed not to be life-threatening.
"No arrests have been made at this stage and enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information about this incident should contact police quoting log 2905 of 08/06/23.
