Two people seriously injured after three vehicle crash in Rathkeale, Co Limerick

A woman and a young man have been seriously injured after a three vehicle crash in Co Limerick.

All three drivers, who were unaccompanied, were rushed to Limerick University Hospital after the collision.

A man, in his 20s, and a woman, in her 60s, received serious injuries in the crash which happened at 4.30pm on Tuesday.

Gardai have appealed for witnesses to the collision which occurred at Wolfesburgess East, Rathkeale.

A spokeswoman said: "Three vehicles were involved in the collision, all three drivers, a male in his 20s, female in her 70s and a female in her 60s were unaccompanied at the time of the incident and were taken by ambulance to Limerick University Hospital.

"The male and female, 60s, received serious injuries.

"Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or have information to contact Newcastlewest Garda Station on 069 20650, The Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
